Is it really June and there have been NO new ABAD calls? What's going on, world? Isn't anyone planning a new show? Anybody....anybody....?

WITNESS NEW, NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN WORK BY RAY JOHNSON

THIS IS ONLY PAGE ONE–-THE ENTIRE BODY OF NEW WORK WILL DEBUT AT THE EXHIBITION!

I created this book just for "ABAD: Ties That Bind," and none of the Ray Johnson work/art featured in it has ever been exhibited anywhere in public before (including the internet). The book is entitled "A Book About Ray Johnson and Hot Dogs," and it documents Ray Johnson's contributions to one of my Fluxus Midwest projects. This work of Ray's has never been publicly exhibited before and I felt that your exhibition was a great occasion to pull this material together and share it with the world.

Second Line Jazz at the Artists' Reception / August 13, 7pm

Thanks to the efforts of the ABAD Angels, this is going to be a truly historic ABAD! This will be the first show to expand the movement to include live musical performance at our reception with The Joe Saylor Brass Band. Now the ABAD vanguard can claim poets, visual artists, performance artists, multi-media artists and musical artists!

Bandleader Joe Saylor has played with many Jazz greats including Jonathan Batiste, Wynton Marsalis, Ellis Marsalis, Roy Hargrove and Ben Wolfe. Joe recently appeared on an episode of HBO’s “Treme.”
